Matt Linzer

Matt is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in child protection, forensic interviewing, and complex CFS investigations. Before founding Clear Voice Interview Services, Matt served for 12 years as a Specialized Investigator and Child Forensic Interviewer at the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre in Edmonton, where he conducted over 2,900 forensic interviews with children and vulnerable adults.
Matt spearheaded and facilitated the Child Forensic Interview Peer Review Process at Zebra, and has worked extensively with local, national, and international policing agencies including Edmonton and Calgary Police Services, ICE, RCMP, Canadian Armed Forces Military Police, the FBI, and the Swedish National Police Service. Matt has contributed to thousands of major criminal and child welfare investigations across Alberta and beyond. He has authored more than 150 Practice Note 5 (PN5) reports in support of Family Law matters and is recognized by the courts as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Child Forensic Interviewing.
As a guest lecturer at Grant MacEwan University and presenter for the Canadian Bar Association’s Child and Youth Law Section, Matt shares his expertise in trauma-informed interviewing and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Kim Burke
Founder/Director/Child Interviewer
For more than 25 years, Kim has dedicated her career to helping children and families find safety, healing, and voice. With over 25 years of experience in Alberta Children and Family Services — including ten years as a Child Forensic Interviewer at the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre — Kim has conducted more than 2,500 specialized forensic interviews with children, youth, and adults with complex needs.
Her work has supported investigations alongside local, national, and international policing agencies, including the Edmonton Police Service, RCMP, ICE, and The Department of Homeland Security (USA). Known for her calm presence, trauma-informed practice, and deep understanding of child development, Kim creates safe spaces where children feel heard and supported while ensuring interviews meet the highest ethical and professional standards.
Kim is a recognized subject matter expert and qualified court witness who has mentored detectives, social workers, and allied professionals across Alberta. She is extensively trained in in multiple advanced advanced forensic interview protocols and has helped shape peer-review and training initiatives to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and best practices province-wide.
