Our Story

Clear Voice Interview Services (CVIS) was founded to address a growing gap in Alberta’s family justice system — ensuring that children’s voices are heard promptly, respectfully, and without bias. In many parenting and legal matters, circumstances may fall outside the mandates of Child and Family Services or police, leaving few options for children to safely share their experiences and perspectives.

Drawing on decades of experience in child forensic interviewing and multidisciplinary child protection work, Kim and Matt — together with colleagues across the family justice and child-serving sectors — recognized the need for a professional, neutral, and compassionate process. CVIS was created to bridge that gap by providing timely, ethical, and child-centered Voice of the Child interviews that give families and legal decision-makers clear, reliable insight into each child’s unique perspective.

Our work is guided by integrity, neutrality, and excellence. CVIS combines unmatched expertise with accessibility and efficiency — delivering high-quality, unbiased interviews and reports within appropriate timelines. Every interaction is grounded in respect, safety, and care, ensuring that each child’s voice is heard, understood, and meaningfully considered in the pursuit of fair, informed, and child-focused outcomes.
